Since it seems we can have a thread about Soccer why not about everyone's favourite SACA's?

This is sparked by the Vics being 3/235 in the last session on Day 1.

Why on earth is Ryan Harris playing while Cleary is carrying the drinks and Rofe can't even make the 12? Not to mention Manou is back:( And what a thoroughly underwhelming start to Adcock's captaincy:rolleyes::thumbsdown:
 
So it's normal service resumed?

Redbacks, always good for a laugh though.
 
Ryan Harris is not anywhere near state level. Clearys also shit, Cossies trying to take the mantle of the biggest mammal on earth from the blue whale. This season will be your run-of-the-mill redback season unless bailey really develops and lehmann fires up like he did in 05/06.

I think he's been tarnished with the "not fast enough for FC level" brush. Which is complete BS as he's easily the state's 3rd best pacemen behind Tait and Dizz.

Still, nowhere near outrageous as the continued selections of Adcock and Manou:thumbsdown:
 
He is a similar style to Clark in my opinion (not as good obviously) but he hits the spot over and over again, perfect for the Shield matches.

We bag Harris, he gets a wicket. 2/0 after their massive partnership. We can't let their tail wag now. Come on boys.

I think your being a bit harsh on Harris. Obviously shouldn't be picked over Rofe but I think he is a good all round cricketer and should be in the One Day side. As for Manou playing over Deitz, that is absolute bullshit. Manou is crap and I don't know he he keeps getting selected over Deitz, even in One Dayers. Absolute joke

Redbacks 2/43 in return with both the Borgas brothers failing and Elliot and Cossie at the wicket. One of those two needs to make a big score because there's not much batting to come. Cosgrove 22* and Elliot 14*

Yep, it's another Redbacks season.

The new regime hasn't really made the tough decisions (other than dropping last year's leading runscorer... joke), we've still got a lot of vanilla in that line-up.

When you've got Cleary and Rofe at your disposal, why Harris to open the bowling? He's the cream on the cake, not the sponge. Or ice-cream.

Meanwhile, Fatty the Horse Cosgrove will continue to cop heat (while making runs) and the rest of the team gets off scot free (relatively speaking)
