Thank you. Thank you for this incredible honour.
To stand here today as Triggerer of the Year — the pinnacle of Bay 13 achievement — is something I absolutely saw coming from Round 1. Some people chase premierships… others chase stats… I chase melts. And this year, I feasted.
I want to thank the Collingwood Football Club, because without the black and white jumper wrapped tightly around my trolling heart, none of this would be possible. Every win, every controversial free kick, every time Daicos breathes near the ball — you all do half the triggering for me. I simply collect the tears.
To the posters who doubted me:
Your disbelief was delicious.
Your replies were art.
Your emotional fragility… inspiring.
To the Bay 13 faithful, thank you for the engagement, the abuse, the essays disguised as comebacks, and the PMs threatening to “meet me at Punt Road Oval at 3pm.” You all made this award happen.
To my fellow nominees:
You tried your best.
You really did.
But at the end of the day, I was simply more annoying, more relentless, and more willing to post after a 78-point loss like nothing happened. That’s championship mentality.
Finally, I dedicate this award to every poster who said,
“Mate, you’re actually so cooked.”
“You can’t be serious.”
“Mods, please do something.”
Those are the words that fuel a TrOTY campaign.
So here’s to another year of chaos.
Another year of melts.
Another year of Collingwood supremacy… whether we’re winning games or just winning arguments.
