The eagerly awaited new series of the greatest series in the history of the world, Dr Who, will not feature the Daleks, due to contractual disputes betwen the Beeb and the estate of the creator of the Daleks, Terry Nation.
I'm pretty ticked off frankly, from what I read of it, it's more the BBC's fault than the Nation estate.
Thanks for letting the new series go off on a bad note BBC.

As a result of this we've already missed one Dalek story on the ABC here, and another one should hav been coming up soon I think. The BBC has treated Dr Who like **** for years, this is just an extension of that. Having said that, Terry Nation has been a pain about the Daleks in the past, mostly due to Davros disputes I think.

I only recently heard of this dispute. This sucks severely. Not been able to use the Daleks could seriously hurt the new series.

They should just replace the Daleks with new futuristic robotic daleks - the latest models - which look a lot like large-breasted humanoids in skimpy bikini's. These new design daleks were a response to the constant beatings that the old daleks were taking while attempting to take over the universe. For starters, the old fluckers couldn't even negotiate stairs.

Are the daleks owners negotiating with anyone else ?

Will we see Daleks v Predator or Daleks v Alien in the near future.

As for Dr Who they stuffed up badly not getting a Female "Doctor"

Joanna Lumley would have been perfect

When the new series was approved they weren't going to use any of the classic enemies anyway, so they probably felt they'd be fine without it. If anything Terry is just ****ing off a whole bunch of fans who won't have anything to do with any Dalek product he churns out.
