Who owns the box set DVD's? What are your favourite moments? Mine are the threetles jamming and reminiscing and alot of the montages to the music is great, its good to have something to set the record about the band, and great that they did this project, dispelling many myths about the band

Oh good hopefully theyve dispelled the myth they were talented, Might have to have a look at this.

I think that attempt of a joke doesn't wear well with the majority of music appreciators here. If that was your opinion, then good luck to you.

I preferred having the set on video, the effect was heaps cooler with the picture on the boxes. :thumbsu:

There were tons of highlights for me, mostly the thorough telling of the story. I remember when it was on TV, and how exciting it was when the new songs were released. :D

I still remember watching the 3 parts special on TV in 1996. I still have a tape recording of it and will keep it forever even though I have the DVD set and the book which is good for the coffee table

Creative musical geniuses and you know it. They were decades ahead of their time, which just makes their impact even more amazing.

I remember when 'Free As A Bird' was released around the world at like 6pm our time? I forget the exact time just that it was played simultaneously everywhere. And I recorded it on my tape recorder!! Then it was the anxious wait til the first part was shown on TV, and I raced out the day Anthology 1 was released on CD and demanded they unpack it for me. :D Fun times. :thumbsu:

I remember when I bought my video set, a friend of mine paid the full $240 for the set, and dad bought me mine for $160 because he knew the guy in the shop. :D But first he hired them for me and I watched them all in one day, even though I taped them from the TV when it was on!! :o

alot of the interviews were taking place in the early 90's, mostly Mid 1994 and the songs Free As A Bird then Real Love came out, George was not happy with a third song so that never was released, but they worked on it. Paul and Georges musical differences are apparant in the interviews, but each still loved and respected eachothers views

Oh man how was that one where George made some comment and EVERYONE thought Paul was gonna get up and walk off!!

That came out at the height of my Beatledom, it was a good time.

Real Love. I was watching RAGE and #8 I heard Oasis "Dont Look Back In Anger" Then #7 the Beatles, I had to look twice, never I would have expected the Beatles to appear on ARIA singles charts, it was a good feeling, and the two songs were great with harmonies and Georges guitar was outstanding. Paul and George are two competative people and were mates even though they disagreed on a few things yesterday and today. Ringo just gets along with everyone :)

I have the Box Set....Probably one the best dvds i own....funniest moments are when when george is talking about meeting elvis..."i dont remember, i spent most of the party trying to suss out if any of his gang had any reefer" always makes me crack up.

George was a classic, I liked when he stuck the two fingers up and called Marcos a twat, the look on his face was a crack up, this was the today show in the 80's, any George interview is a mix of his dry humour and humbleness

Paul cracks me up coz he's always trying to be the smartest and wittiest and it just doesnt work...and ringo can be a ****er at times...Too bad the funniest of the lot isnt with us anymore.

Ringo on his first experience of pot. " i laughed, i laughed and i laughed....it was fabulous" :D :thumbsu:

i have been meaning to pick this up for a long long time.i guess the price has set me back.but now its like $60,so i MUST get it,finaly.you guys are def making me hungry for it again.

and free as a bird, what a tune that is.its up there with the very best they hade:thumbsu:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/5169094.stm <---check out the latest.it never does seem to go quiet in the beatles world does it..

George is just George, and gives an effortless, relaxed and honest assessment whilst Macca wanted to cover things in more detail and was meticulous as he had alot of the ideas that were used back in the day having every right to take the lead in presenting the facts as taken place, Ringo is just Ringo, offering humour and things from a lucky drummers point of view. You get an insight into just how competative the group the beatles were just by 3 men in their 50's playing out their parts, by interviews, years later. A few laughs, a few differing perspectives, it is good to see them jamming, but apparantly not everything was recorded, when people go to GH's estate, they play guitar!

i was given the book 1st then bought the dvds as soon as they came out. this was over 2 years ago but i remember watchin numbers 5 & 6 first and they failed to dissapoint - at the peak of the creative powers!

however, i was a bit annoyed that they didnt go into more depth regarding the break up i think there was only around 8 mins on it. This was the part that appealed most to me and it appears they;ve edited alot of it out. There was more about the break up in the Linda McCartney movie!

Always watch the day tripper/we can work it out film clips and the revolution one. Wish they had a full video of ticket to ride instead of cutting from the live performance.

Best part is when george talks about the magical mystery tour movie : '****ed in the english sense meaning drunk.' - Thanks George like we didnt know ;)

Was in London last weekend and got a photo walking across abbey road! Also happen to walk past a wing of the art gallery in trafalgar square that was decked out in beatles photos - it was sick! It had the whole session of abbey road outtakes, the butcher photos, the blue and red album cover sessions, the phycodelic photos that appear on the cover of '1,' and heaps and heaps more!

That's George for you, one funny guy with the best sense of humour and barely cracks a smile but when he does it lights up the room
