are u's serious?? beau will go number 10 at the latest!! and actually i havent bin in his bedroom seems as ive only met him once.........

Silly buttons, dont speculate.
Beau if you are reading this forum, don't listen! We know nothing. Im a physiotherapist, so im basically god, and pelvic fractures can heal in any space of time from six weeks if minor, to six months if severe and if the sacroiliac joint and spine are implicated. Only an orthopaedic surgeon will be able to give a half decent estimate, and even then they will prolly be wrong. Who knows he could be ready to play by the start of the 2006 season.

But there's an undeniable risk of complications later in his career...makes him susceptible to osteitis pubis and what not.

A shocking injury?

just wait, the Bulldogs supporters will think it's a right laugh they will

P*ss off u dumb C*nt

Doggies supporters would whole heartedly wish that Beau fully recovers and fulfills his obvious talent. If he's available at 11 I'd be more than happy for the doggies to take him and give him time to recover.

If the comment was supposed to refer to the Brown injury, I doubt too many doggies supporters were genuinely pleased to see him go down the way he did. Sure we're not over the moon about him leaving and feel that he has betrayed the club, but to suggest that we're pleased and happy about it is ordinary.

He is in a wheelchair for 3 months, no way he is a top 10 pick now.

beau will be in a wheelchair for 3 months, but the doctors assure him he will make an absolute full recovery..
he will be out of action for about 8 months and will go through physio next week..
i know he has a lot of clubs talk to him during the week and a lot have gone through steve canole (oakleigh's regional manager) and i can tell you that west coast will not let beau go pat their pick at 13..
someone said a year in the gym wasn't what he needed..why not?????
a year in the gym could see him prime and ready for 2006!!
i remember a lot of people talking about chris judd like this..no one wanted to take him because he done his shoulder 3 times, yet he's turned out to be a superstar..i have the feeling beau will be the same..i will assure you that clubs will take the 'risk' and beau will be going top 10-15 for sure..
just a rumour going round that carlton are still heavily interested at that pick number 4 ;)

I doubt West Coast wud let him slip past pick 13, we got plenty of time to wait for him to recover, we are a young side and plus we can take the risk knowing we have two father/sons in future years who wud be round 1 picks anyways.

Id expect him to go pick 13 if not that certainly pick 14.

yeh im sure we can wait for him on our list..half our other forwards are all development players anyway..
With 2 ex oakleigh chargers staff at the west coast eagles this year and rowan o'brien in a lot of talks with beau, then id say he'd be a fair chance to go at pick 13 if still there ;)

Is there any news on his injury and how long he will be out for?? Did anything happen to others in the car or was Dowler unlucky and caught on the wrong side of the accident??

From the local paper:

Junior football champion Beau Dowler is recovering after sustaining serious injuries in a car accident last Friday. Dowler, who starred for the Oakleigh Chargers this year, was the passenger in a car that crashed into a pole in Edithvale about 5.30am. The 17-year-old, of Noble Park North, was last Friday in a stable condition at Clayton's Monash Medical Centre. Oakleigh Chargers regional manager Stephen Conole said Dowler had suffered a hip fracture. ``He seems to be OK but it's really early days,'' Mr Conole said. The club's welfare manager, Jim Honey, visited Dowler and his father Mark in hospital. Mr Conole said the club would continue to support Dowler through his rehabilitation. Dowler is likely to be selected at the November 26 AFL draft and was preparing for his VCE exams.

should be picked up by Eagles at pick 13 at the latest one would think....hes a good young marking CHF and is a brilliant kick so he shouldnt fall to far down the ladder even with his injury
