Beau waters

waters is hands down my gavourite player
closely followed by arch and campbell borwn
they dont come any better than these three in the afl

He dishes quite a few out, but then he will put his own head over the ball - yeah he goes alright for an eagle:thumbsu:

Another insightful comment from a WCE fan adding a new and intelligent angle to the debate.

It was too ridiculous to dignify with a proper response. Then you'd respond, and I'd waste the next hour debating the ludicrous.

Easier to just call a spade a spade. Although, admittedly ignoring it would've been the most intelligent response.

He tried to have a go at knights last week but he just got owned. Knights made him look like a school girl. He was too scared to go anywhere near Van Berlo.
Obviously didn' watch the match or beau waters properly, he isn't scared of anyone and he doesn't have the body size of a campbell brown, archer or pickett etc so he simply amazes me.

Supporters like you should just **** off seriously, weak as piss

He is my 'sponsored player' this year and at his best is one of the best.

I agree though he should be dropped into the wafl for a while.

During this game before his collision with brown he bumped brown about 3 times and won

Now this seems physically impossible to me, and when he got his head smacked in he tried to get up twice falling down, then he got up and shrugged the trainers away.

Is there anyone tougher in football??

I know lots will say archer, monfries etc but i think waters is more courageous and hard at the ball then these two.

Yes there is - the Melbourne guy today in the last quarter who unflinchingly took a mark then the sickening crash, accidental, which followed.
No shrugging off of trainers here! Hell, he shrugged off the stretcher!
And further like a good team player rather than staying on the ground in his dazed state he jogged off the ground. There was a game in the balance that needed winning.
Brave and courageous without the grandstanding.

Waters does that stuff all the time, wether you get hit isn't completely necessary for the argument of being tough but recovery is, waters recovers from everything and puts himself in almost ridiculous situations.

This whole thread is ridiculous. As my first post said Beau Waters is no tougher and no softer than any other player in the AFL. In fact he has a record for a cowardly attack on an opponent. What is annoying are the teenage WCE supporters who sit on lounges eating chocolates, repeating dribble they hear on the media who are so easily impressed that they come out with these vacuous statements on this forum. You are right the concept of Waters being "more" courageous than others deserves to be ignored.

Funny how people latch onto one incident. How many times has Beau been suspended?

Beau has been very lucky not to be so far. A few weeks ago as the starting point.

And even one incident (which by the way is far from the only one) is more than enough to mean that it is an insult to even mention Waters with Archer.

Has anyone got his address, I'll post him a Troy Cook and Shaun McManus video compilation. You know the one with Soloman commentating and see if we can't teach him another side to his game.:thumbsu:

Please tell me this is a joke post

Cook is even worse than Waters for not being good at anything other than tackling, bumping and shepparding. Shaun McManus is similar to Cook, but without the toughness - Freo's Rowan Jones. Waters is a very good accountable backman, yes his skills can sometimes let him down.

Solomon... oh dear :o

Hardly.

Waters doesn't care in the slightest how hard he gets hit. He has a 100% total disregard for his own safety on the field. As was mentioned, he's not exactly built like Archer either.

Archer was rock solid 'can't f*** with it' tough. Waters is crazy 'at least I died playing footy' tough.

He's just as willing to cop it as he is to dish it out. Anyone who calls him a sniper is clearly basing their judgement on what the BF peanuts are saying. All because of that one incident.

How is Archer not reckless?

He's made a career of throwing himself about with no regard for his own safety. A career of 301 games, not to mention six AFLPA Most Courageous awards and a Norm Smith on the back of throwing himself in front of Lockett more than a few times.

Waters is tough, but it's a ridiculous comparison this early in his career.
