The fact Waters won the Eagles’ best clubman award in 2009 despite not playing a game speaks volumes for his commitment and standing within the group. Complications with an elbow injury prevented the hard-nosed defender from adding to his 61 games. Despite a setback before the 2010 season when he had an arthroscope on his left knee, Waters had an outstanding year filling in for Glass as captain on a number of occasions.

It was reported in early September that Waters would take over the captaincy from Glass and reported again on the 14th of December.

Do you have that one against Geelong the first game of this year? the passage of play where he got the ball back like 3 times. Dont think ive seen many players with that much desperation.

Really should be the next captain after the Glass.

My opinion He should start in 2011 if not 2012 has to be a lock. Woosha mould.

Waters is a one-man demolition squad. I propose a new nickname for him...Bamm-Bamm. There's definitely similarities between Waters' highlights and Worsfold's. His desperation reminds me of that cartoon that shows a bird having swallowed a frog, but the frog reaching out and choking the bird's throat so he can't swallow. Keep up those great tackles and hits Beau. :thumbsu:
