I'm guessing that means he'll be lining up this week?

Also, at who's expense? Was Johnson/Morrison/Gaspar put on the long term injury list, or has Roo been taken off the list completely?

Nope he won't be playing this week.
Probably won't play at all this season.

I believe he was just added as insurance in case another big man succumbs to injury.

How do you know this? and yes perhaps Johnson was cut, he's on long term injury list now?

Eagles promote Beeck from rookie list

The West Coast Eagles today promoted promising young ruckman Zac Beeck onto its senior list for the remainder of the season.

Beeck has been in excellent form all season for East Perth and was rewarded with a spot in the W.A state side that played South Australia earlier in the season.
With injuries to Michael Gardiner and Andrew McDougall, Beeck could make his AFL debut before the end of the year, or else just be used as insurance, incase another Eagles bigman succumbs to injury.

it will be interesting to see if he can crack a game at AFL level.

Even if promoted as insurance, it makes no sense financially unless he is going to be named this week.

[edit] - my mistake, I didn't realise this week was the cutoff for Rookie promotions. Would like to see him get a game though.

good to see the club giving him a go, but who was put on to the long-term injury list....i'm guessing Paul Johnson was??

I think now we have him on the list we should at least give him one game to see how he goes.

It was Paul Johnson.

Be interesting to see if he does get a go this season. I'd say injuries (further injuries) will dictate whether or not that happens.
