Just listening to their 2007 offering 'The Apostasy'
F*** I feel like going out and moshing right now

Kriegsphilosophie is one sick song!!

Rest assured their other albums are also extreme moshing material

all their albums are pretty decent though Would love to see them visit Australian shores

Another of these totally brutal, melody-free Death bands that I can't get into. The lack of soaring choruses and dynamics amid the brutality turns me off. Certainly admire the skill and endurance involved in playing this sort of stuff though...

not 100% on the newie yet (christgrinding avenue = tops though)

they toured early last year and were awesome live - very very tight and put on a great show too.

Listening to some of their stuff on their Myspace page as I type. Certainly sounds awesome, from a brutality point of view. But I'm not hearing any melody/groove/dynamics to speak of.....

Yeah they are more death/black,but they do some real interesting stuff. Check out angel of retribution on the pestapokalypse VI album. Amazing. Think Slayer at their absolute best, and then some

I love Death/Black. But melodic/symphonic, not constantly brutal....

Yep. Dark Tranquility, Soilwork, Arch Enemy (their newie is out Monday), In Flames, Dimmu, Opeth of course, Old Mans Child, The Amenta etc etc etc....

Haven't heard Amoral. Will check them out on your recomendation. Always looking for new stuff....

You'll like Amoral i think Listen to mute on their myspace....solo at the end is mad. Whole album is killer.

Amoral sound awesome. I'm enjoying 'Showdown' more than 'Mute'. Will investigate further for sure.

Few and Far Between on reptile ride will blow you away

Only Mnemic i heard so far is passenger. Love the music, not too keen on the vocals...yet. I prefer Meshuggah/Gojira style vocals..harsh. Mnemic definitely crank out some heavy duty stuff.

Only Mnemic i heard so far is passenger. Love the music, not too keen on the vocals...yet. I prefer Meshuggah/Gojira style vocals..harsh. Mnemic definitely crank out some heavy duty stuff.

I prefer the combination/dynamic/contrast between the harsh and the clean singing, and Mnemic's vocalist does it to perfection, IMO. Totally wall to wall brutal/harsh vox bores me severely. It's one of the reasons I can't get into Meshuggah. Awesome, no doubt, and extremely musical too. But lacking in dynamics, to my ear....

I like the clean vox/harsh vox mix too but only in Doom/Sludge/Post. Stuff like Isis, MoTA, Minsk...you know. But for pure death i prefer the cookie monster
