Anyone had their place robbed or been robbed on the street / in the car?

Got robbed leaving work in Clayton a few years back, got cornered by a group of about 4 teenagers and threatened with a screwdriver, lost about 20 bucks, they gave my phone back because it wasn't worth shit... A week later a guy got stabbed to death a few metres away so it could've been worse. Worst part for me was the only reason I even went that way was because I bought a scratchie on my last shift, won $6 so decided to go buy a coffee to drink on the way home, ended up losing that $6.

Would've been more interesting if they had stalked me to the car though, at the time I was still keeping a rather large hunting knife in the centre console...

I had my collection of childhood CDs stolen when I was about 7 and found them in the next door's neighbours front yard the next morning. Fair to say the theif wasn't impressed with my taste.

i'm a crows supporter, i get robbed every time i go to the football..

i've had my car broken into from within a locked shed. i have a theory that i may have disturbed them when they were already in the shed when i arrived home very late on this particular evening. had my work bag which only had some cd's and a discman in it stolen, and a couple of other little things from my car flogged. a couple of months after this, i got a letter from apparently the perp who got caught by the cops saying sorry

Back when i lived with my brother a few months ago someone broke in while we were out through his bedroom window. Took mainly electronics, tv, ps3, laptop, blu ray player aswell as his collection of about 220 blu rays.

I was most shattered about his blu-rays, took him ages to collect and had a lot of expensive ones in there that are going to be a pain in the arse to replace.

A friend of mine got robbed about a week ago. In a house absolutely full of extremely valuable books, all that was stolen was his phone, wallet and a shovel.

When I was a little tacker we had our place robbed. There was 5 people living there, ALL at home at the time and somehow someone has walked in, stolen Dads wallet and few trinkets (including the old school style phone) from just inside the front door and walked off. I am still dumbfounded as to how this happened.

Had the house i was living in with my girlfriend at the time broken into. Was a 5 minute job, they took a laptop, original xbox along with 4 or 5 games and a backpack to carry them in. Too dumb to afford an extra minute or so to look through bedroom bedside tables and various other hotspots. Could have walked away with cash, ipods and cameras as well.

We knew who it was, unfortunately there was a particular house on our street who were known for breaking into houses etc... they also knew the house we were staying in was rented property and it had been targeted in the past. A next door neighbour told us that they'd stolen the air-conditioning unit using bolt cutters or something to disconnect it from the wall.

Not long after we moved out, when we drove past a group of 4 or so friends moved in, probably to deter the notorious theives. But in any case i found out that the police had raided that particular family and retrieved a shitload of stolen goods. Was in the paper.

Another story, after my parents got divorced my old man had a period there where he enjoyed the single life and going out to party at the local RSL. One night he somehow managed to score a young early-20's bird, which isn't too bad for a 50-odd year old (or so we all think!), until it was discovered the next morning after my old man had dropped her off wherever, and after my brother had gotten out of bed, that she had pinched the credit card from my brothers wallet that was sitting on the kitchen bench. That very day she ended up spending a couple of grand on electrical goods, so i think my old man learnt his lesson on that one.

When I was in my young teens I got robbed a few times on the way home from school. Each time I didn't have anything worth taking. One junky had the nerve to call me a povvo and asked where's my cd player etc.

Had my car stolen earlier this year. That sucked. Got it back 3 weeks later minus a few things.

if i was a thief i would imagine air conditioners would be very low on my hit list.

Yeah true. I guess because they knew that it was rented property and robbed it whenever a new tenant moved in, they were happy to take anything they needed. I dunno, it's a weird thing to rob, but i guess they were the type to steal anything that might have been worth something of value.

Have also brought a nice girl home from the pub then woke up the next morning with no girl, wallet or phone

No but she raided my housemates bathroom, who was a girl, took her hair straightener and a whole bunch of makeup stuff. I got my ass pounded for that

Got held at gunpoint buying 1k worth of pills, almost the scariest situation ive been in.
Also got rolled for an ounce of green one time with a dirty syringe
