Finished a rewatch of season 8 original BD on Netflix.

It will end up become an historic season of the show considering it was happening just as the world went crazy with covid.

They did well to make it interesting enough by dragging it out to 16 episodes but in hindsight I think 14 episodes would have been the right amount.

The last season before Captain Lee starts to have his health issues. I found it sad watching him in the last episode knowing the struggles he will start to have in the remaining seasons. You could tell how disappointed he was when they had to cancel the last 2 charters and I think deep down he knew time for him was running out as a fully healthy captain.

I think they were hoping Francesca would turn into the next Hannah and do a 4-5 season run but it wasn't meant to be.
