I was thinking if Benny Cousins was to suddenly leave perth for a lifestyle change, would the cats be able to get him under the father son rule at Geelong and negotiate a contract like they did with T.cloke and the like.

Just interesting because if so, you guys are favourites 2 get him.

Don't think so. His Dad played 67 games, the minimum is 100 these days. Was 50 back when he was drafted.

I'd love it if it could happen though.

The father/son rule is only applicable as long as the player in question has never played for another AFL club.

As long as he had recovered before the drafting period then i would offer bucket loads for him. Lets not forget he won the brownlow not two years ago and is/was one of the premier midfeilders in the competition.
