Just mentined in the age today 20/11/06 that ben johnson will now front the magistares court which will allow him a not to be prosecuted inso far as getting a criminal prosecution, which is good news for the pies i guess. The rumour i heard a while a go was that if johnson was prosecuted in a higher level court he could have faced criminal charges and sent to jail .That would have meant the end for him and his playing days would be over with the pies, however the charges have been reduced and he should only get a fine. Now you can relax benny and put in a blinder with the pies in 2007.

Excuse me?

You can still face criminal charges in the Magistrates Court. I would say the charges have been reduced, but it doesn't matter what Court you appear at.

Why would a jail term make us throw away one of our better midfielders?

The way I see it, he'd just get some bad ass tatts and come back as buff as ********! Either that or he'll be wearing a wig Oz style.

I hear he's skipped the country and is hiding in the mountains of Afghanistan, or some other place starting with A.

What daicscuz mean was that the Majistrates court doesn't hear indictable offences only summary offences (less serious matters). Indictable offences are really the only offences you can go for jail for and they include serious offences such as serious assault, murder etc. Obviously the assault charges aren't serious enough.

As if anyone is going to go to gaol for thumping someone. Community service more like it.

Hell even the guy who whacked Hookes didnt go to gaol and Hookes died.
