we need to draft a few goal kicking freaks not necessarily with our R 1 selection bu through some shrewd trades or latter picks. This kid looked like being anything last year nand shapes as someone that needs to return home to a decent side where he could make a HFF his own. We have a heap of currency in Nahas, Mcmahon, Thomson , Polo Roberts or possibly tambling..In any case he fits the bill as the type of player we need to add to our side

McMahon Polo and Thomson are hardly currency and Roberts will be lucky to play AFL next year and dont think they will even look at Nahas they have the best small forward in the league in Lecras

What currency are you speaking with Bo? A few Mexican pesos? An Icelandic kronor?
These guys are spuds.
We will never see any of these players again with the exception of Bling.

well maybe I threw them in for a laugh, Nahas or Tambling could be of interest though...RT in particular played his best footy on subicaco and I am certain would attract strong interest from WC

No back pedaling Bo
You better put that bottle of Jack Daniels back in the cupboard and get to bed :D

McKinley does not tick enough boxes to play under Hardwick.
At the Eagles, he is a 5-10 touch player who snags 1-2 goals a week (when in form).
However, he does not offer any defensive pressure and is a simple lead up, mark, goal player.
I wouldn't be wasting my time on players like McKinley.

If you are looking for more avenues to goal / flanker, someone like Chris Knights or Pat Veszpremi would fit the mould.

Pass. I would chase Ryan Murphy before McKinley, or Callum Wilson for that matter. For starters WC would want way to high a draft pick or value of player for him. They rate near most of their players highly:eek: Iv'e been to many WC games this year and the only players from WC I would consider chasing would be Sheppard or Strijk ( I think thats how you spell it).

If we are serious about chasing a guy that can play forward and needs a change. Mitch Clark from Brisbane is the guy I would be chasing.

What do you make of Ash Smith?

Would trade McKinley for Tambling in a heartbeat.
Hell no.

And a massive hell no to Mitch Brown. Big lump of dud.

Tambling for McKinley? Hell ****ing yes. Tambling can't deal with any level of pressure, imagine if we were playing finals? It's trading a shocking but potentially average player for an average but potentially very good player.

Can't say that I have noticed Smith too much. The two young guys I mentioned stand out IMO due to the fact they have pace and skill and take the game on.

Agree on Mitch Brown. Rather his brother from Collingwood if we were chasing a member of that family.

If we traded for McKinley I would have to go jump off a birdge. Mediocre player who has no defensive side and we would overpay for. The time has gone for trading for second rate hacks. WC are on the bottom yet he has been dropped this year...

No thanks. Not a good fit for our side. Is a lead and mark one trick pony. We are not the sought of side that makes good space in the forward line and spots up players leading. Pass.

If the Eagles want Tambling then they can put Luke Shuey on the table.

ewww

not a bad idea bo. bens got great hands for a shortish forward.. would compliment the talls (jack, griffiths) quite well without getting in the way of our crumbers. we could use more goal kickers

So do those that agree with the above post think that Hardwick wouldn't be able to instill the above qualities into him??

Personally I think he could be quite a dangerous player and if Hardwick is able to do with him what he has done/is doing with plenty of others on the list then it might be a handy little get for the tigers..

But naturally like many others on here, I'd be hesitant about giving up too much for him..

When you put it that way, and the fact he has even changed some senior players styles in a short period of time. I agree McKinley may be worth a punt if too much wasn't given up.How many people on here would have thought Morton would become a onballer within the first year of Hardwick being at the club?
