I've always liked how Sinclair plays but always hated how he kicks.
His kicking was much better v Geelong but I'll reserve judgement until game pressure is applied.
At this point I'd play Williams ahead of him. If Langdon and Toovey play then it's hard to fit Sinclair into the side. Happy for him to play like he did against Geelong and push other out though.

And who can say for sure that he would miss them now that he's gained a bit of confidence in his ability and belief that he belongs.

I just don't get this "player x did this so it'll never change" mentality. I remember him turning a GWS player inside out and drilling a goal from on or just outside 50 in 2014. He knows where they are.

People are committed to the view that he has poor disposal yet he goes at nearly 75% DE across his career.

People say he doesn't offer rebound yet I've seen him making some searching runs out of defence.
I agree and I think that say that Fasolo is having a shocker we can send him back and Sinclair or a varcoe forward.

after seeing Toovey spray that kick out on the full vs Geel I actually don't think he is guaranteed starting 22 anymore and on team balance you have Langdon, Williams and Sinclair.

I think Toovey's ability to cover a range of players keeps him in at this stage. He's one that I hope young talent pushes out but it won't be any old chump that does it. We have too many poor kicks. Swan has to stay. Adams is going nowhere. That should leave most of the others vulnerable and there are plenty.

He showed last year that ability diminished.

Seems to have lost 1/2 a yard of pace but still had an impact Friday night. Some of his defensive efforts were very good and I think he still has some credits in the bank. Let the kids force him out through weight of performance, it happen eventually, don't see why we need to rush it

Exactly. Pressure cooker game Sinclairs kicking would be shocking.

I think Sinclair has already done that.

Shouldn't have to be but when glowing threads in the pre season come up about shit players that's what happens.
I don't see anyone going overboard in their praise of Sinclair. He has shown in the past (during the season proper) that he can play quite well as a defender, if he can stay fit he may well prove it and surprise a fair few people. Fasolo is a player who obviously has a lot of ability, he's never shown it consistently enough, but if he can add that consistency to his game he could be a real match winner for us.

You seem to have made your mind up long ago about these two players (and plenty of others) that they will never be good enough, and you appear incapable of accepting that they may be able to improve. I'd be interested to know what you were saying about e.g. Leigh Brown when he first joined the club. Chances are you were writing him off too as a "shi* player", and saying we'd never win a flag with such players in our team.

I'm sure it happens with all supporters that they write off players and give them no chance of making it, only to be proven horribly wrong. I've done it lots of times over the years, but even though there can be players at our club who I don't really care for, I just don't see the point in rubbishing them so openly. Because you write off more players than most, there is more scope for you to be proven wrong quite often. I hope you can be decent enough to admit you were wrong about some of these players when that inevitably happens.

What's this Bucks knows best line to finish off the Sinclair crap from the OP then? Not going over board at all....

Oh come on! That's a pretty ordinary example of someone going overboard, isn't it?! Now if he'd said e.g. "Bucks knows best. I think he will be an All-Australian defender this year." that would have been a decent example.

He was very very good last night and very important for us. Fingers crossed he has an uninterrupted season this year. Kicking might not be such an issue with him any more too but I''l reserve judgement on that for now. He is a player though.. just needs some continuity.

Kicking was excellent at times last night, was also impressed with his overhead marking and his leap

Definitely on the improve

Was impressed with him last night. Got unlucky with a terrible umpire call also which cost a goal.
