Early reports were that Longwood had picked up a fair few handy players, however the only have 2 incoming transfers. perhaps a little eary still. Only 6 weeks from kickoff though.

Is it common practice in that league that clubs lure kids to their clubs by supplying them with boots etc.

I have also heard that Longwood were chasing Mills fairly hard. Matt Mills? Used to play with Euroa. Not sure what he is doing this year. Rumour and innuendo at this stage.
Any word on practice matches? Saw the grounds on the ABC the other night and it would seem that evryone will be playing in sneakers or grasscats in the B&D FL this year.

One of the Mills has signed at St Kilda City Boner. I think there was 2 of them at Euroa last year though.

Yeah thats Mark at St Kilda City. Longwood were chasing Matty pretty hard but im 99% sure hes at VT, played a praccy match there on the weekend and kicked 10 goals. And if i know Matty when he's at that stage of comittment he wouldn back out..
Longwood have secured Ryan Burls who should be a likely type for them along with a couple of other young blokes from the euroa area.

Heard tonight that the league is looking at postponing the first 4-5 rounds due to ground conditions. Any one heard. Will make it very hard to hang onto players etc.

Hi all just got news about restructure of pdfl merging with league from NSW. Why does the VCFL do nothing for this league and maybe as a league you could become more proactive in the relocation of your clubs to other competitions.

Tatong looked quite a team on sunday night. Plenty of flair, skills werent to bad and had plenty of new blokes and they worked as a team. Could very well be the team to look for in 07. Mossy must be doin a good job out there.

The scoreboard on sunday night was non functional. Tatong ended up going down by 10 points to North Wang 8.4.52 to 5.12.42 i think?

I got the chance to get into Benalla tonight and have a bit of a look at the Tatong and Greta game. I don't know why there has been a lot of talk about Tatong for sure they had plenty of numbers but i thought the quality was very poor,But then again it is suppose to be the worst standard of footy in country victoria

I think you might be right slim.There were a couple of good players the ruckmen looked ok what is his background as i have not heard or seen him about.Also is the bloke vallendar one of there ass coaches if so he set a good example for all of there young kids by getting sent off in a practice game

Ruckman was Mathew Cox first year at Tatong recruited from Benalla All Blacks.
Greg Vallender is an Assistant coach.
Tatong were missing about 8 regular senior guys last night (not that they would have made up a 10+ goal difference) hopefully most of them will all be available for next weeks match against King Valley.
Im not a Ron Barassi but if your senior team was missing about half of its regular players why would u not expect that to to account for a 10 gaol loss ?
Personally I would say if bringing in 8 regular players into your team wont make a 10 goal difference then u havent hot much of a team.
