Bendigo captain James Flaherty has left the club to play in the WAFL with Peel Thunder in 2011...

All the best James :)

Makes me wonder who the next Bendigo captain will be.... Skipworth would be perfect but Im not sure if he is playing next year now that he has a development role with EFC. Cloke maybe??

According to Bomberblitz...Cloke has signed to play at WRFL team Spotswood so he's gone as well. (like Spotty need any more help - 5 straight grand finals and 3 flags in the last 5 years I think it is).

If Blair Holmes stays around, he might be the new captain...

Pity about Cloke... he only just came back to the club. I read that his borther Cameron was set to join him at Bendigo before he left....

Nah i dont think Holmes will be captain, barely played any senior footy with bendigo this season. Skipworth would be the perfect captain but with his new role at EFC i wonder if he will be playing at all....

Once the pre-season/rookie drafts are over Bendigo need to go on the hunt for mature/AFL experienced players.

I saw that Kallan Geary has left Sandringham. I know that Grant was very keen to sign him to Bendigo at the end of last season... maybe he can woo him this time!

haha I wouldnt mind Inglis playing a season as a Bendigo player before Ess decides to put him on the senior list! :p

Cant see it happening though... it will be either EFC senior player or nothing.

Ned Daniher (Calder Cannons) is training with Bendigo as well.

The VFL is so behind the SANFL and WAFL in having decent websites and actually naming the players they have signed... so frustrating.

Most of the club websites have new signings on them...The actual VFL site doesn't but I wouldn't expect them to either...

Most clubs have players training there but can end up at other clubs...Sandy had Danny Hughes delisted from Melbourne training at Trevor Barker Oval...but he hasn't signed on...not sure where he'll end up...lots of ex AFL players do the rounds of various VFL clubs then settle on one...Marigliani trained at Port Melbourne but signed for Sandy

Matt Little...from Williamstown to Bendigo...very handy pick up

Just read the news on the bendigo website... I am in shock but very very excited!!!

I have a feeling that a Mr James Hird may have had a lot to do with this move, he is of course Little's cousin...

Takes a lot of pressure off the young EFC forwards in 2011 now which is awesome. Bendigo might finally be able to kick a winning score with Little, Neagle, Carlisle and Maddern in the forward 50..

:)

Justin Maddern is back at Bendigo after a 3 year break from the VFL. Kicked over 100 goals for Kangaroo Flats last season and will be a very handy addition to the forward line.

Bendigo has also signed Sam O'Brien and Sam Vale from Rochester

Duscher, Stroobants, Ladson and Collins are also staying on in 2011.

Kicked exactly 100 after recieving a dubious 50m from Ryan Threlfall with around 2 minutes left of his season...Wonderul talent is Justin, who deserves another crack at this level. Blair Holmes I understand wont be playing VFL this year.

No surprise about Holmes... didint play a senior game for Bendigo in 2010. Pity cause he looked pretty impressive in the midfield a few years ago.
