Why? His reaction is exactly the same as what my first reaction was.
I dont think its a laughing matter losing by 155 pts & the Bendigo 2nd's losing by 240 pts! Their is a reason why this is happening. Lack of players who arent up to either level. 1/2 of our squad is injured what do you expect?

What else can you do except laugh? It's an absolute joke of an alliance and if we continue it next year I'm gonna be pissed.
I agree with ya its a joke at the moment sure but it was never like this last season & the season before. Injuries are not an excuse in Bendigo's situation atm its the reason why its so bad.

Its not just the results. Most people with some sense know that even with our own VFL side we would be strugling to get within 50 points of sides with the current injury list.
What i do expect is to be aligned with a club that can at least get its own web site up and running.
Or to be able to afford some half decent players.
I expect them to have some sort of leadership in their club rather than having multiple CEO's in the last few years.
I would also expect some sort of profesionalism and not have half arsed functions. The writing was probably on the wall when at their season launch just about all the key figures where late and it was a shambles.
Lets face it they are playing in what is supposed to be the second best Comp in the state and they can not even field 18 players in the reserves every week.
The problem is the model is wrong. Unlike North Ballarat which was based on a strong side being the foundation for the VFL side Bendigo has no love for the Bendigo Diggers/Bombers. There is no real alignment with the Bendigo leauge or Bendigo based sides. It is a side playing in an area that no one really cares about them.

Bendigo have kicked like 17 goals in three weeks. Are we just reallly reallly bad. or suffering from the effects of so many injuries. I remember a mate at work telling me his friend is on the Bendigo coaching panel. He said 8 or nine weeks ago that they were scraping the barrel to field a seconds side. Where normally they had about twenty spare players, they barely had anyone left to choose from. Seems the injury curse is spread through Bendigo as well. Surely they are not THAT bad. lol
Is it time for Essendon to rethink their association with Bendigo. Go it alone, or link up wit a Melbourne based VFL club? (port Melbourne?) Our young players are not going to develop effectively in such a bad side.

No point sending them to Port Melb as you end up with all your rookies playing VFL seconds.

Its just that Bendigo lost a lot of players from last season, like Carter & Cloke.ect
