Aw gee, I feel so sorry for the Eagles.

I'd welcome him to the cattery with open arms.

Something more than "Missing Training" is the cause.

I would suggest he returned a positivr drug test or may be in trouble with the law again.

It would want to be a very serious reason to get rid of the 2nd best midfielder in the competition, brownlow medalist, Premiership Captain (we all know who was really captaining them last year), etc.

And this has what to do with Geelong

Didnt his dad play for us? Didnt he consider us when being dafted?Didnt he support us a a kid? Wasnt he born in Geelong?

In that case i'd better start a thread because i saw a guy argue with another guy and he has a cousin that had a mate who's dad one time trained at Geelong.
Who gives a toss.

Cousins could have came to us under the F/S rule but decided to stay in Perth since his family, friends, drug dealers etc are there. He almost chose to come to Geelong tho :(

I remember an article about it in the Herald Sun a while ago. Had him in a Cats jersey which looked much better than the blue and yellow pajamas :p

I'd welcome him with open arms though :thumbsu:

Nice Work:thumbsu:

If anything it tells us that our dealings with SJ were pretty spot on, that being judged by his peers is a good thing and what happens when there is no discipline at a club. All clubs should learn from it, what happens when things dont get sorted out early....
Poor Steve, Ben gets a slap on his wrist for some heavy duty misdemeanours (well until now....) and he gets 6 weeks for trying to drink a bottle of suntan oil....

The deal is that he missed training, Woosha called him up to attend, where he told him where to go.

Woosha then called the pres, telling him he is suspended.

Also he supposidly didn't do too well at a mates (eagles player's) party or wedding, made a tool out of himself.

Among those reasons, I definitely know he is a snorter. My mate saw him in a WA nightclub which was for invited guests only, doing bolivia's finest in the changerooms/toilets.

Maybe this is the reason, which I would guess would be more appropriate. He was also very good friends with Gardiner too, which heads further discussion into the drug problem he is alleged to have.

I get the feeling that the WCE heirarchy are feeding everyone a few porky pies....I cant see that they would suspend him just for not going to training after NOT suspending him for all the other stuff before...

Why did he get suspended?

The Eagles know what his problems are - they just needed a reason to suspend him. He has the chance now to sort himself out over the next few months. The football fan in me hopes that he won't, but the human in me hopes that he will. It isn't pleasant to see someone struggling with substance abuse issues (whatever the substance may be).

Why is it relevant on this forum?

He almost came to Geelong on the F/S rule. Would he have been better off? Most likely, but that is history now. Good luck to him sorting out his problems. He is only getting press because he is a football player - many well paid people in other professions have to deal with this every day without the added scrutiny.

He'll be OK, with a little help from 'bolivia's finest' that is... love it!!

This guy has been using performance enhancers for years too.. I really wouldn't be suprised that coming off a flag, the eagles wipe their hands of the iceman.

Exactly right.

That's the worst thing about moving to a new town. You have to find new dealers.
