Became Benny Hill in a rare few glimse cameos last year but still shows the old sheepdog still has it in him.
It expect him to play 3 more seasons or more and break Tucks record.
Time is on his side, injury has avoided him (except for the last one) and he will be better for the run.

Met Benny at Port Pirie a few years back at Bickleys testimonial and not a bigger genuine guy you would ever like to meet.

Goodluck to my favourite player next year. Wouldnt it be good to see him win the CChamp

North breed em well

Anyhow Carn the Panthers & Happy New Year to you

That god someone has stopped talking out putting him out to pasture. Ben Hart still has at least 3 good years left in him and potentially a 4th.

Week 2 vs. WCE 300 AFL games for Ben Hart.

If our starting 18 wasn't heading towards the wrong side of 29, then I may agree with you, Although, 3-4 years is a bit over the top. In 2007 we will have 8 players ( Roo, McLeod, Edwards, Goody, Thorney, Bassett, Biglands, Burton )turning 29 or 29+. Throw in Ben Hart, and that's a total of 9 players whose better days will be behind them ( 8 players 30 or 30+). Haven't we learnt anything from Port Power 2005? What makes us think our players can escape the clock. Besides, Benny deserves to go out a club legend and not languishing in the SANFL ie Smart.

I would like to see Benny retire either this year or definatley in 2007.

in my opinion 06 is his last year, cant really pin point why but after his hamstring drama's which may resurface and the fact that to me in 05 he played with his brain in a water tight defence and especially early on in the season he appeared physically unable to do what he once could

As long as we move those older players out of the middle and let them play in flank positions and develop new talented midfielders to take their place (like not skippy or doughty) then thats not really a problem. There are a few players who might retire a bit earlier cause of their bodies like macca and hart while roo might have 3 yrs left from now if he can play up forward and kick goals. So they probably wont all go at once. Wouldnt mind if they did retire at the same time and we tanked a bit to get some good draft picks to replace them for next ten yrs either. Will be difficult to find players of their ability with the picks we get atm.

Had a couple of brain fades too.....but guile being what it is, Benny came through.

Lockett, Dunstal,..... cut their teeth on Ben. Hes certainly been thru a bit in the past 290 odd games. And played with some legends in our club too/
