Hunt will be pushing for selection with Wojack, Kelly and Vorcoe.
From what i have heard Egan will be very lucky to play football ever again. Which is sad, could have been anything.
Davenport, Djerrkura, Kangars and Hawkins will also be pushing into the 22. The rest will develop nicely in the VFL.
all up a lot will be determined if prissa and woja stay or go
as it seems both are gone
which will free up a number of high quality picks
I believe Prissa has also been offered a 3 year deal at Melbourne. At least he will known he will get a game there after his knee reco. Its not certain he will get a game at Geelong in 2010 either.
. I think he might need to slim down a touch - he doesn't need to be such a beast as a back pocket anymore (he pretty much always plays on an athletic small) and losing 5-7kg would make him quicker.I believe Prissa has also been offered a 3 year deal at Melbourne. Pretty good effort, not much change from this year though.
The guys that'll push for spots next year (and I'm basing on watching them in the VFL) would be Kangars, Davenport, Moles, Laidler and Donohue.
Egan will be right by mid year (by all reporting).
IMO West/ Mumford are fighting for the one spot.
Hawkins will definately be pushing for the KPP in the forward 50.
And Harry Taylor; pending Egan's recovery, will move into a utility role.
What!! No Scott Simpson???

I think cats shjould make major play for o'keefe and offer up wojo or kel to get the job done. i think o'keefe would be handy as a half forward and would allow johnno and moondog a bit more freedom in the f50.... my thoughts anyway

Just a quick thought / question.
After the group pulled together last year and took pay cuts etc. to stay together.
How do you think it would affect the spirit of the group if say wojo and kelly were traded for ROK.
Not too good I'd think.
On the other side, how would it affect the spirit of the group when, as expected, Mooney, Harley, Milburn, Scarlett all get up and retire in the next 2-3 years????
We need to start looking now at ready made players who can fill voids left. Harry Taylor was a perfect example of this.
We cannot leave it upto Kangars, McKenna, Simpson, etc. to fill the void straight away in 3 years.
