Almost a tragedy that there's been no mention of the great Jim Keays (Masters Apprentices) to date. Would just about rate #1 in my opinion. Top bloke as well.

Others worthy of mention (no particular order).

Thorpie.

I didn't realise Ian had turned his attention to singing now ;)

Top 10 in some sort of rough order of preference (and knowing full well that I've forgotten somebody).

1. Rob Younger (Radio Birdman, New Christs)
2. Jeremy Oxley (Sunnyboys)
3. Ron Peno (Died Pretty)
4. Mick Dalton (Trilobites)
5. Damien Lovelock (Celibate Rifles)
6. Christopher Marshall (Harem Scarem)
7. Tex Perkins (Beasts of Bourbon, Cruel Sea ...)
8. Peter Garrett (Oils)
9. Ron Hitler-Barassi (TISM)
=10 Paul Stewart (Painters & Dockers)/Tim Rogers (You Am I)/Quincy Maclean (Blue Ruin)/Tim Hemmensley (Powdermonkeys)/Ox (Poppin Mommas)

Great list.

I'd add Nick Cave, Gerry Humphries, Louis Tillet, John Kennedy and Fred Negro to my top ten as well.

Barnsey isnt to my tastes at all, but he was a great frontman for the Chisels, this cannot be denied, and I place him above the two dead people.

Tim Rogers and Nick Cave would be my personal choices.

Agreed on Tim and Tex. It is great that they are touring together now. I wonder how many hangovers those two have chalked up over the years.??
