Hi guys - just a quick poll on who people put their trust in of all these cheap defenders going around

Taking into account injuries, suspensions, shockers, effeciency and 2009 form

im looking at getting both shaw and ellis this week for cornes and malceski. Good trades??

Haha yeah but when you compare them to Malceski - they all get a halo over their head and lights fall on them

I just think they are players who have generally performed well and are pretty underpriced - for a reason though.

Could just pay 20-30k more and go for a hodge or an enright - but they arent going too great either

I'd take both of those guys over any of the ones you've suggested. They've both got big upsides if they hit some good form (especially Hodge) and are definitely worth the extra money.

If Hodge's price is still too much for you, you could wait one more week - he's likely to lose another 10-20k this week.

Haha yeah Malceski's gonna lose much much more - im just sick - sick of not knowing whether hes gonna bring his A game n score me 49 or his B game and get me 29 - or a complete shocker of a 9 !!

I like the look of hargrave cos he's guaranteed to get you a 80 sorts...like u can be confident - with all the others - its a bit of high score one week low score another.

Im also looking at xavier ellis - but with 7 trades left and him being injury prone - i like him...but hes risky

Even milburn - hes geelong...but hes old...

I dunno whether to trade cornes out for enright or xavier ellis!

If I got Ellis, I make some coin and can do a straight upgrade next week to Hodge, which would finish my backline!

Although Enright is less of a risk, and will score better probably

HELP

Wanted Hargrave - didnt have the guts - now il suffer - sniff WHY CANT I TAKE A BLOODY RISK ONCE IN A WHILE
Ended up going Enright

X Ellis was good value i thought. Brought him in for Chad on the weekend and scored 115..no complaints so far :D

I picked up Scotty McMahon a few weeks back. Seems to score well without needing to rack up huge possies averaging 95. Paid $450k, priced $478k now. Playing as a 5th defender with Newman, Gilbee, Fisher, P Burg, Hurn, Grimes.

Yeah I put McMahon in Round 3 to replace Raines, he's gone up quite a bit since then.

To replace Malceski I put in Enright. I still have Houlihan and Grimes on the field and Chornes on the bench, so yeah, the drummond trade in a 2 weeks is sounding a lot better then Hodge/Shaw at the moment.
