Is carazzo going to continue the B&F curse by having a bad year after winning the B&F ?

last 6 B&F winners

Carazzo - hasnt started too well this year - still early
Whits - terrible end to his career after B&F
Kouta - injuries etc & not much impact after B&F
Teague - enough said
Mckay - retired
Mckernan - oh my god, how bad were we when he won it ?

Can Carazzo hit last years high stats & make an impact or will he go the way of the other B&F winners ?

He sure as hell can. He goes after the footy, puts his body on the line, so on and so forth. McKernan, Kouta, Whitnal... the previous winners are all different people. There is no pattern.

It's still very early days, and I have the upmost confidence that Carrazzo will find his feet sooner rather than later. Remeber, Carrazzo only polled 5 and 3 votes in the first two rounds of last year.

In a poor side he is a best and fairest winner

In a good side, he is a fringe player - his use of the footy is very scratchy.

We wont be a good side till a player like Carrots is struggling to get a game

I have said this before, and I will say it again. Carrazzo should be turned into another run-with player, that can also go back and play on the dangerous small forwards. Yes, he gets alot of ball through the midfield, but he just doesn't hurt you when he does get the ball in the midfield.

Finds the ball enough but does nothing with it.

HBF and I were discussing this last night and HBF suggested we should use him as a tagger. He used to play this role. Might be time to play it again.

I wouldn't mind seeing him play as a small forward. Good overhead and not slow.

no pattern except they all had shite years after winning a B&F, thats why i made the thread the B&F curse..

i like carrazzo, reckon he's got a hard body who goes in & gets it & anyone who can get it 30 odd times a game cant be too bad. just with all the talk over summer of him having a huge preseason he hasnt looked to intense so far in the 2 early games.

hope he can break the b&f hoodoo & start winning alot of the ball for us soon, hopefully against the dons next week.

Hit the nail on the head.

Any time i see that it's Carrots who's going to be the one to have to pass to a forward on a lead i cringe. IMO we need another mid or two who can be trusted to deliver the ball with precision into the F50 - at the moment we have judd and stevo and houla and murph who can lace out fev and co, but nearly every time it's not one of these blokes we turn it over.

And don't get me started on Carrazzo's kicking for goal.
