If it wasn't for Super Mario Bros and a NES, the video game industry could easily have died in the mid 80s.

consoles only , other machines thrived during the crash eg C64 , if they never made nes we would still have most of the great PC games we have today thankfully

Deus Ex

That was a great game. Got it free with a video card, what a bonus that was!!

But for me the greatest all time game would have to be Age of Empires II The Conquerors in deathmatch mode.

I agree, Ocarina of time was the best ever N64 game.

I wasnt a fan of Zelda or the Mario's on N64. Just didnt like the way they were set out and played.

Whereas i thought Perfect Dark and Goldeneye where some of the best games i have ever played. Goldeneye was an amazing game. I remember when i got that game as a present and played it for years. Could bring it out now and still have a fun time.

Come November 9th the best game ever made and dare I say it the best game ever to be made, will be released. Ofcourse, I am talking about Halo 2

If God made a shortlist of Human-kind's greatest acheivments it would look like this:

Thousands of years BC- Man created fire.
November 9th 2004 AD- Man created Halo 2.

All you ignorant, xboxless fools, who are saying "It can't be that good ", are about to be left behind. Very soon there will only be 2 types of people in this world, those with Halo 2, and those who's population is declining rapidly.

You people have no idea how unbelievable this game will be. The multiplayer alone will be a breakthrough, and will replace Counter Strike as the best online shooter. Everyone already knows Halo has the best combat system and style of guerilla warfare. This will however, be intergrated with levels and game modes that are specifically designed to maximise in the games potential. The results will be devestating!
