The Shev said:The most worrying thing is, if Robertson does get up and wins the club best and fairest, is that he will be the only bloke on our list that has won 2 Keith 'Bluey' Truscott medals. Why is this worrying? Well in all fairness, he is essentially a half forward flanker, the third tall forward, an exciting player who has struggled with consistancy up until recent years. He isn't a midfielder or ruckman who is always in the action, nor a full forward who usually win the matches and get on the highlight reel. He isn't the most talented bloke, not the biggest or the quickest or the fittest or the toughest. But if he does get up, then he will join Viney, Lyon and Stynes as the only recent MFC players to win 2 or more B&F's. He will surpass the likes of Neitz, White and Yze who have only won it once, and Bruce, Green and Johnstone who are yet to win the award. These 6 names above are the "leaders" and the best players in the team, yet none of them have been able to win 2 B&F's. If our top 6 can't do it, but a short-arsed half forward flanker can, then what does that say about our leadership group?
This is by no means a dig at Robbo, he is a great player who bleeds red and blue and gives his all every week. He deserves all the awards that come his way, but as I said, he shouldn't be the only player in our "talented" group that has won 2 B&F's.

Robbo isn't the most talented player on our list, but he has a massive heart and he loves the club. He had a bad season last year, going from CHF back to a small forward position. To his credit, he fought his way back and improved his goal kicking.
If half the players on our list showed the sort of determination and passion that he does, not just for the club, but for the game itself, we wouldn't be in the position we are in at the moment.
He deserves another B&F, because to be so consistent in his position when the team isn't travelling so well, is a great effort.
Sometimes I wonder what it feels like for him, working so hard when most around him are lazy and don't care. If it was me, I'd punch some of them!![]()
True he'd be the only one with 2 but Yze has deserved about 3 and IMO Biz deserved it the year Robbo won his first. I'm not taking anything away from the year hes having, he's been superb, too bad the other 21 dont play the same way.The Shev said:The most worrying thing is, if Robertson does get up and wins the club best and fairest, is that he will be the only bloke on our list that has won 2 Keith 'Bluey' Truscott medals.
