Exile On Main Street is 'the' complete album with plenty of well-known tracks plus a horde of sensational album tracks. It's got a raw rootsy feel that has now been copied by other artists like the Black Crowes for example.
Goats Head soup is probably one of the most under-rated Stones' albums ever and for the life of my I can't understand why. It's got hits (Angie, Heartbreaker) plus quality album cuts (Mr. D, Silver Train, Hide Your Love).
Some Girls was a major comeback album for them after a string of not so consistent albums, pure quality all the way.
Black & Blue showed the Stones were adaptable and prepared to experiment, best of all, it was Ronnie Wood's first album with them.
Black & Blue sounds too disjointed for me. Simply guitarists auditions that ended up on record
