Better Result

On reflection, of our final campaign.

From my own personal experience, when you are young, losing a final is so important.

Why you ask? because it bloody hurts. I play cricket I do not play football, but I know how much it hurts to lose a final.

It is our teams best result, the blood lust we should have as a side next year, will be unprecedented.

Look out for us next year is all I can say....

Very true Tish, everyone gets beaten, it's how you come back from it that counts.

If our boys are made of the right stuff, and I truly believe they are, they'll come back with a vengeance.

Not wanting to put a dampner on all of the positive energy but Port Adelaide were probably aiming to come out breathing fire after their GF loss a couple of years ago. Richmond were aiming to make top 4 after their 10 game winning streak and just missing out on finals 2 years ago. Great positive sentiment and I hope it happens...............but there are plenty of times when you have to grab the chance when it is there because you might not ever get another chance, just ask Rob Harvey!!

I agree with this somewhat, but Port didn't get close and would have had a massive let down in confidence while Richmond didn't even make the finals. The Blues lost a game that was basically in the bag. They know that they themselves let the opportunity slide more than it being taken from them. They should be disappointed but confident they can go a step further.

But this is footy and some big changes have occurred in the off season, so let's just wait and see.

What disappointed me more is that all year we make a bit of a show of slowing the play down using 'tempo' footy ie. the old holding the ball in the air signal.

..and yet, when it came to the crunch and Brisbane were storming home, we had no answers and seemingly, no way of stopping them ???

Its fine to look at richmond ,port etc but I reckon when you factor in the age of the list and experience of games played it can only be a positive for us..Yes we rolled over when the game was nearly in the bag. Thats inexperience ,learn from it. Gain the steele , the hunger ,the acceptance that simply playing finals footy isnt good enough ,winning them is. That belief that its our time takes time ,but we are on the way.
