I reckon flaps's Lightning will be a good description of the speed of his re-build.. 5 x 1st round picks in this next draft and 3 x 2nd rounders..

I've never had a draft haul like this, so it'll be interesting to see if it works. haha.

If the draft were held tomorrow with current ladder positions, I'd have 2, 8, 11, 13, 14, 16, 18 and 25.

And 2x 1sts, 2x 2nds, 2x 3rds in our following draft, which gives me a bit of confidence in cleaning out my list.

Still got players for trade this off-season too like Tom Mitchell, Jack Crisp, and Mark O'Connor if people are interested in filling out their run to the 2026 flag.

I am relieved, but didn't want to say that. I don't like seeing players get injured, obviously. There's a few instances I can think of in my trading history where I've not been able to agree a trade for a player I was keen on, and then something like this happens. Or that their form goes to crap instead. But it'll be a cognitive bias, probably lots of instances where I did make a trade and then they're out injured or form goes to crap. Just indicative of a lot of attempted trades really
