Has anyone thought about doing this on any type of bike?

For those who don't know about the trail, go here.

I'm thinking about going from Cooktown to Healsville soonish. I have a haro 18 speed with front suspension, back panniers, 3 water bottles, swag on the rack, handle bar pack, and a few other extras.
Thinking of a trailer but its pretty rough in some areas so this may not be a good idea.

Would be good to get some info if anyone else has done this or any other long distance bike journey.

Not sure if srs.

Ive read a few blogs from people who have done it or attempted it. 3500km's with river crossings, some are croc infested A lot of hills, some of it is not rideable, downhills are worse than the uphills, some of it is through private property and its advised you contact the landowners in advance. It is not for a novice, you will kill yourself, it is rated one of the hardest trails in the world. Even if this type of riding is your style, it requires a stack of planing as there are long stretches where there is no towns around to get supplies.
