Not long to go now. Round 1 begins on Thursday night, Strikers vs the Stars in Adelaide.

Stars play twice this Round, so players from the Stars score twice. Perth Scorchers have the Bye, so big fat donuts for anyone in their squad.

I'm still picking 4 Scorchers in my initial squad. Will bench them in Rd1 obviously. Then use my all my Rd2 trades to trade out 3 Stars players & bring in 3 Scorchers/Sixers for their Rd2 double headers.

That was my initial setup but injuries/aussie selection is turning me off most of the scorchers players I was looking at picking. Now going in with 4 sixers and 5 stars and will trade in a few Scorchers rd 2 once I see who's playing. Bit of inside info just for BigFooty users; I tweeted the Scorchers about Joel Paris and his quad injury, their reply suggests he won't play until post christmas therefore missing at least one of the the double games. Obviously Marsh is unpickable now with Pups injury.

Yep, Shaun Marsh is going to mess up my structure. Do you have any idea who will be the Scorchers 2 openers this year? ...as well as the openers for every other team? With T20 I find loading up on players who bat in their teams top 3 is a must. Also helps if they bowl a bit.

I'll probably just take Carberry over Marsh, he has a fairly solid T20 record and the 2 doubles in 4 rounds is just too tasty to not have a top order scorcher (esp with their lack of top-end all-rounders with no NCN (anyone have info on his injury?).

Here's my best guess at each teams top 3.

Scorchers: Carberry, Harris??, Klinger. No Marsh really throws a spanner in the works. Maybe Whiteman?

Strikers: Simmons, Ludeman, Head/Ross/Dean. Read an article yesterday where Hodge suggested Darren Berry wants him batting at 4.

Sixers: Dwayne Smith, Lumb, Maddinson. Maybe Cowan if he is picked ahead of Silk.

Stars: White, Wright, KP.

Thunder: Hartley, Khawaja, Mussey. Kallis/Morgan at 4/5 (really hoping these guys go well this year).

Hurricanes: Hales, Dunk, Paine.

Renegades: Finch, Wade, Cooper.

Heat: Christian, Burns, Forrest. Possibly Peirson instead of Christian?

You think? I think if anything it allows for more of that. Minimum 2 trades per round can be dedicated purely to manipulating the byes.

So what's the go with the captain? Logic would suggest you select a captain that is going to play twice in the round, but do you get double points for both games he plays? Had a quick browse through the FAQ's but couldn't see anything.

I know nuffing (might change my name to sargeant schulz) when it comes to this but i did assume that yes, you get double points for both games.

No sign of Stoinis or McKay. I'd expect Rose and Worrall to be the ones who miss out.
