Big Bash: Striker Time

Decent bowling, a number of times I would of gone back to Wood but credit to Short he got it mostly right.

Our batting is is poor I am not confident we can chase this down.

Paine should have been immediately relieved of his duties after that Heat game in Brisbane, was most likely very relieved that everyone at the SACA forgot all about the Strikers season last year due to SA’s One-Day cup and Shield wins.

Part of those Langer, work harderer for longerer coaching disciples that modern Cricket coaching is moving away from.

The bowling is ok, but the batting is one of the weakest line-ups in the 15 years of BBL.

Unless Short and Lynn fire, they are completely cactus.

Why would he want to do it ??

Id much rather he make us a force in the Shield and List A cricket than win a T20 comp.
 
Terrible batting, we don't have the talent but clearly we lack strategy in certain situations.

I really only rate Short and Scott as batsman.

Lynn can't play spin and his innings are to few and far between. Overton has saved us a few times with the bat but can't get going this year.

Sangha, Manenti and Harvey are not up to the standard required for a good BBL team as batsman.

Wadia needs time but has played some really poor shots.

The problem is the way we have structured the squad we don't have many options. I presume Ross will come back in for Sangha. The only other two are Nielsen and Kelly who also are no up to it

What's going on with Kelly. This is the second season he can't get into the team or been injured. Should never have got a three year deal
 
Was embarrassing

The first little batch of wickets was awful but still 4/48 at decent clip

Then recovered

Got it down to 7 per over needed at the halfway
6 wickets in hand
PowerPlay still to come
Overton yet to bat

And from that position somehow immediately hit the panic button and started slogging, as though we needed 15 per over?

If a Pakistani team had done that...

I am starting to agree with a few posters about our coach. Some players have regressed.

What happened to Sangha this year? T20 doesn't look like his game. He appears to have completely lost all his ability.

Kelly should get a try. He is better than a few mentioned and better in the field.

Wadia hasn't got it.
