Sangha will play ahead of Thornton for more batting depth. Five pace bowlers is overkill for me, and Sangha is theoretically another spin option at a pinch (though his last injury was caused by bowling, so maybe he'll put it away for good).

And will be ahead of Harvey in the pecking order. He was killing it in past BBLs, it's only injury that held him back.
Harvey plays for mine, but both are in average form this year in the domestic comps.

Squad for the first game

M Short
Lynn
Sangha
Harvey
Ross
Overton
Neilsen
Scott
Ali
Thornton
L Wood
Pope
Jerrsis Wadia
Jerssis Wadia is left arm orthodox. And seems to have had a decent Top End tournament for the Strikers academy (second on the Strikers wickets tally).

Also eligible for Albania, though uncapped, according to Cricinfo

This will come back to haunt me but I feel like we should get these runs without too much trouble.
Yep

We can pretty much tell how our season will go based on this run chase

Should win
If we don't we'll win bugger all

Having a keeper that can't bat is so poor especially when we knew we would be missing Carey.
He copped a dislocated finger during the bowling innings

I wonder if the injury will force him out?

Sounds like he will be okay, apparently Mac Harvey has kept before who might be an option if not.

He was only serviceable last year but they went down the right path with Oli Pope especially if you want to play so many bowlers.

I'd take Mackenzie Harvey as a part time keeper in a heartbeat over Nielsen

Twice the batter

Nielsen is a very good keeper and worth his spot in the Shield team when Carey is missing but cannot get the ball off the square in T20s
