I write this inebriated and reflective.

Looking at Hawthorn's success over many many years, we have never had a dominant ruckman.

JK Senior, imposing figure. Don Scott - warrior, Greg Dear - Workhorse, Stevie Lawrence, unbelievable 2 seasons, Big Fish - legend, Spider - wrong time, wrong place, Max Bailey - cursed.

brings us to big boy. No leap, runs all day, can take a grab, but the thing i love most listening to hin interviews, he absolutely cares - loves the Hawthorn Football Club. In an awful season he has tood out like a beacon.

The leadership and guidance he is providing is invaluable.He gives his all week in week out , win lose or draw. Lets support the big Boy as he is playing a super important role with our younger players and they could not be in better hands - pardon the pun.

Big Boy was really copping the flak early in the season. He has been enormous in recent weeks. Earned massive respect from me.
