This is great news from Lebanon...
Fantastic news in fact...
amazing that one is also an international FIFA match official... that's quality.
Being a pioneering woman may also bring some media attention to the sport??

Following on from the inaugural Lebanese rugby league coaching course two weeks ago, on Sunday Lebanon welcomed its first batch of locally reared, trained and qualified match officials.
The full one-day course saw fifteen match officials qualified, with each of them in line to operate matches in the upcoming Winter Championship season, which is scheduled to start on 3 November and will see, for the first time, mandatory four-man officiating teams and standardized disciplinary procedures. One of the new officials, Rania Samrout, recently became Lebanon's first female international FIFA match official.
The Lebanese rugby league Development Department's ranks now comprise 19 qualified match officials, 20 qualified coaches and three coach tutors with which to launch the next phase of the sport's expansion, with schools the primary objective, in addition to more stringent standards applied to the domestic championship, both on and off the field.
The qualified match officials are:
Adel Abdo
Jad Abinassif
Nayef Abisaid
Ibrahim Ballout
Nadim Bou Zeid
Rany Chahoud
Robin Hachache
Patrick Harb
Fadi Miyassi
Sol El Mokdad
Naji Ramy
George Rehayem
Rania Samrout
Jean Paul Zakhour
Mohamed Zaweel
