Did you press search?
If it doesn't work, delete the last digit in the code and write it in, (the 4) then press search.
Sometimes these things are funny with copy and paste.

Tried manual typing it, tried with no capitals, some capitals, all with no luck

Interesting when copying the link it has a space at the end of the league code in the copy/paste...which gets omitted when adding the link here.

I just worked it out, my apologies to all!!!

When you click on the link (not copy and paste the code), the page it takes you to doesn't actually show the league or the fact that you were successful in joining.
So I had clicked on the link first and not realised I had joined!! Then when you try the copy and paste it won't find the league as you are already in it!!!
Never thought of looking down the list of leagues I had joined and had not noticed as it is the 3rd league I am a member of so it's not on the top of the page!!
