Big win to West Coast - is this a concern?

Collingwood did nothing more than release a pressure valve.

TSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS is all I heard.

Now instead of going into a finals campaign with the media jizzing over how amazing we are, we get to go in having put our own backs to the wall, with many in the media already doubting us. That's exactly what we want.

Although Mike Sheahan and Rohan Connolly are onto us.

Bastards.

Like most Eagles fans when Darren Jollys name pops up my mind instantly goes to the 2006 Grand Final where his worst on ground performance was a huge catalyst in our victory. Cox destroyed him that day something silly.

Otherwise what KissStephanie says is 100% spot on

Interesting piece in the HUN today about ruck taps and clearances. Jolly and NicNat are the only ruckmen for both teams that have positive tap to clearance ratios. Wood and Cox are both negative. Will be an interesting battle considering Brown and Lynch will both ruck at times. That being said the midfield will be where the game will be won or lost.

collingwood will win easily. round 22 results mean nothing. if anything the eagles should be fearing significant backlash from the pies. your form against the cats this year however is a concern for when you play them next

Seriously hope we can win this weekend but to be honest hope is about it, I expect us to be very competitive however.

I don't think the weekends results are any concern for Collingwood and I expect them to be back to their best this Saturday and we all know their best is pretty awesome.

Good luck to your side guys, you have an awesome team playing for you and while I hope somehow we can knock you off I wish you guys the best for the finals series, you are a quality professional club.

Good Luck.

Thanks, in all honesty, West Coast supporters are in the box seat for finals.

Spooners to Top 4. Home final REGARDLESS of first final result, so you're virtually guaranteed a prelim birth regardless.

Enviable position to be sure. I'd be lapping it up for all it's worth if I was you guys.

Collingwood will be rightful favourites. Hoping the game is a cracker and as close as all other finals have been (barring replays :p) between the 2 sides.

But really, if we get within 30 points of the Pies, it'll be a good effort. Media just wants to pump interest into the finals series by talking up the other sides. In reality, it's really going to be a Collingwood or Geelong flag. Hawthorn the smokey, but only if they can roll the Cats on Friday.

Looking forward to my side getting some experience this finals series and then probably a Collingwood/Cats GF which is hopefully a corker (and not a draw!).

Then West Coast can be the next dominant side over the coming years. :p

I would love us to get on top this week, after travelling over earlier in the yr to watch the Coll/WCE game, we were well and truly lost, i think it was too cold ( i was bloody freezing anywho). Daisy out is a handy one for us, he tore us a new one that day.

I haven't read up yet and don't really follow coll's in/out, but are a few of your guys under injury cloud? maxi, cloke, davis, tarrant

heater back in is good even if he missed quite a few, also went to arizona as well ( i think), which worked extremely well for swan.

we played quite well on sat and had quite a few different goal scorers. Our pressure on the ball carrier was excellent, has been a little off the past few weeks and gets us up and going for finals.

either way looking forward to the game
Good luck to both sides, collingwood in a close one, 17pts

C'mon eag's

It's predicted to be cold and wet on the weekend as well.

Tarrant and Maxwell are under injury clouds. Maxwell, Dawes Jolly are under form clouds. Shaw is unknown and Thomas is obviously suspended.

Cox has been knocking it to opposition players most of the year!
