well I won't go back and install tapatalk until I know its fixed.

Tapatalk may be getting fixed, but its up to that app's developers to do so.

In the meantime if you get a premium BigFooty, Tapatalk will still work. So it's up to you really; if you value the direct app and avoiding ads, go premo.
