Was looking for a Destruktor cd but couldn’t locate it. Came across the Dream Theater ‘Master of Puppets’ live album. Lasted one track - the vocals kill it for me. Got a cd of them doing Number of the Beast as well. Only Dream Theater cds I have. Anyhow put on Merciless’ Unbound but wasn’t feeling that either. Settled on Overdrive’s Sword and Axes. Banger.

Back in '95 they did a really good cover of Deep Purple's Perfect Strangers

Don’t worry, he’s like this in the bay also. Likes everyone. Who does this?

I left the Bay after the site owner cancelled my account for liking some posts made by a Carlton supporter on NYE back around 2016 from memory (think it was Wiggo4PM). Account got reinstated after some lobbying from some mods. The Bay was never the same for me after that. Used to spend all my time there too. Haha.

I wonder how this will turn out?

William Shatner is turning the volume up to pain-threshold max.. The legendary actor, author, and cultural icon today announces his latest album — a heavy metal extravaganza powered a veritable army of metal stars, each one personally selected and hand-picked by Shatner to help deliver a project that's equal parts thunder, theater, and fearless experimentation.

Shatner has long been attracted to music that challenges boundaries and amplifies storytelling. Over the years, his recordings have attracted a striking range of collaborators across heavy music and beyond — artists chosen for their distinct voices, fearlessness, and credibility.

Zakk Wylde (OZZY OSBOURNE),Ritchie Blackmore (DEEP PURPLE, RAINBOW),Edgar Froese (TANGERINE DREAM),Wayne Kramer (MC5),Henry Rollins (BLACK FLAG, THE ROLLINS BAND) have all recorded with the legend. Indeed, Shatner's history of defying expectations is well documented, and his music has long lived in the space where spoken-word intensity meets cinematic atmosphere. This new album raises the stakes even higher: more artists, more distortion, more drama — and a heavier impact.

"Metal has always been a place where imagination gets loud," Shatner said. "This album is a gathering of forces — each artist bringing their fire, their precision, their chaos. I chose them because they have something to say, and because metal demands honesty."

Built around massive guitars, cinematic arrangements, and Shatner's signature vocal intensity, the record plays like a high-voltage film: sharp turns, dark humor, raw emotion, and moments of unexpected beauty. The result is an event album — designed not as a novelty, but as a statement, uniting a legion of metal's most respected musicians under one uniquely singular vision...

It's a roll of the dice.

However, I picked up Dave Grohl's Probot album from a JB Hi-Fi bargain bin for two bucks about 20 years ago. Fantastic album! There's some legit great songs in the style of guest singers. It's a shame he's never done a follow-up.

Centuries of Sin ft. Cronos
Red War ft. Max Cavalera
Shake Your Blood ft. Lemmy Killmister
Access Babylon ft. Mike Dean
Silent Spring ft. Kurt Brecht
Ice Cold Man ft. Lee Dorrian
The Emerald Law ft. Scott "Wino" Weinreich
Big Sky ft. Tom G. Warrior
Dictatosaurus ft. Snake
My Tortured Soul ft. Eric Wagner
Sweet Dreams ft. King Diamond
I Am The Warlock ft. Jack Black and Kim Thayil

Not sure how trustworthy this is.

If that venue is correct i would think 1 show in sydney & melbourne they know people will travel.

Already pumped.
Shows last year were great only complaint is i wish they picked a different drummer.

Arena shows like last time would be better but beggars can’t be choosers.

Can’t see Perth & Adelaide getting shows.

Maybe they will bring someone like Megadeth out as support.

Sort of feel in Melbourne the stadiums are too big for them these days.Probably had 30k over two nights last tour which included a lot of us going twice. No way they’d get the crowd for Marvel which leaves AAMI. Interesting to see what happens. Prefer Megadeth come separately.

That article mentions allianz which is similar size to marvel?

If they only do syd & melb a lot will travel from other states.

That Megadeth tour sounds like it will go for years so they could come backor do some smaller side shows maybe?

I think there will be a reasonably big name support act.

I went to Marvel for Oasis (better half made me!) - no way they’d get that sort of crowd it was huge. Maiden has a bad track record for supports here. Anyhow sounds like all will be revealed shortly.

I willingly went to both oasis shows haha.

Place is big but i think if there is no adelaide, perth & maybe brisbane plenty will come over.

People seem to gravitate towards big shows for some reason.

I think most tours are announced on tuesday’s so fingers crossed.
