Cant wait to see him ... ive seen him 4 times and i highly recommend it, even if u dont follow his politics he does put on an entertaining show.

Great gig last night in Perth. Billy was in fine form with his pre song banter, focussing on more social rather than political issues. His stories about Woody Guthrie were fantastic. His discussions about social media and people using freedom of speech arguments to defend abusive behavior on line were a breath of fresh air.
The first acoustic set of Guthrie songs was terrific and I would have been happy with a whole evening of it but was very pleased with his second set of Billy Bragg songs. Great selection.
Special mention to Jordie Lane for a great support set. Was joined on stage by Billy for a great version of Reason to Believe and later on joined Billy to do Sin City.
Overall, a great night.

Went to the show at Hamer Hall. I liked his insight into the songs although thought he went a little too far when talking in the middle of some songs, but can forgive that. Wasn't impressed that he left two versus out of Way over yonder, probably the best two versus. But yer, really enjoyed it. I'm a Guthrie fan first, I like Billy for doing the Mermaid Avenue Album but I think he is okay too.
