Looked ordinary in the televised game on the weekend for mine. Looks a big lump but not much pace and didn't seem to have any presence in spite of his size. For comparison, Walker at CHB looked a lot better. Early days though.

He seems to be used sparingly off the bench, which makes it tough for a 19 year old CHF I'd imagine. Show glimpes of talent but looks unlikely to debut this year.

Still learning the game.
No chance this year and only limited chances next year.
But 2 solid years of VFL and 2 preseasons will put him in line for 2006.

He would look better if the idiots in the midfield delivered it better.

CHFs invariably look useless when the delivery from the midfield has no system. A forward structure cannot cope when there's no organisation in the midfield.

How many goals did Balwin kick? How many times did he look like getting a grab? Stuff all, and that's the midfield's fault! Shakleton can't hit the side of a barn. Mullins is excellent, but his preference is by hand (often feeding an inferior kick like Shakleton).

That said, he looked slow and didn't use his size. Still, there are times he looks very Carey and J. Brown like.

He's got stacks of time to learn, and big or not, he's got an 18 year old's muscle strength.

Plenty of excuses from me. He'll be a player, just needs the time.

He should know what the side of a barn looks like, all he needs to do is look in the mirror.

The boy Morrison needs Betheras, Scotland and Mahoney to improve delivery!!!

fair call to an extent but baldwin is a good VFL player so I would hope that Billy was at least able to win as much ball as him. Granted it is very early days for Billy though so no need to be too concerned yet. I would have loved to have seen a glimpse though. I reckon I saw these glimpses with Cam and Tex and I have no confidence about Tex in the short term.

Anyway, looking forward to some Cam action tionight. My cam bandwagon is about to gain some momentum. Any takers?

CAM IS THE MAN!

Morrison is a gun and will be a long-term AFL player just like Tom Davidson. Maybe not at Collingwood though.

Why not at Collingwood? If anything, MM has shown that he has a certain amount of patience, and considering that Morrison was a relatively high pick, I would think that he'll get plenty of time.

Or is there something your not telling us?;)

Looks like he might start to get some ball from Rupe at least.

What does that mean? Is Rupe back at Willy?

I saw that article late last week, Rupe is back from the NT and looking to play VFL, not necessarily for Willy though.

Get with the program!

Go to Nick's and see photos of Rupe playing for Willy in the 2's.

He'll be hitting Billy on the chest by next game :D

HE WON'T HAVE A BETTER OPPORTUNITY AT THE PIES WITH DAVIDSON BACK IN THE SIDE.

When you appreciate the difference between and outside and an inside forward, then, and only then, do you have permission to use full-capitals in your posts!

So I see, and among the best too. Should get a promotion this week and good to see no grudges held by Rupe. He was the epitome of Collingwood toughness and having a go.

WB Rupe, still cant believe you werent picked up in the draft. I'm sure a Hawthorn or a Richmond would love your !00% attitude and commitment right now.

One is better for Telstra and one better for the G? Would that make Bill and outside specialists? I reckon the pace of the Dome works against him. Then again the concrete floor won't help Davo. It's all too confusing.

Ideal forward line for the future (KPP shown only):
HF:........, Morrison, Davidson
F: ........., Tarrant, ...........
There is also Fraser (although will be 50/50 ruck/forward) C.Cloke and T.Cloke if we get him.

This is after Rocca has retired. So we might have to trade one of our tall forwards unless Davo, Morrison or Cloke2 and 3 can move down back with the likes of Presti, Walker and Hall progressing through.
