Good stuff. More and more games will be cross platform going in to the future.

On the Xbox v PS3 thread most PS3 supporters keep talking about how bad xbox 360 exclusives are, i guess it would be quite hypocritical for PS3 owners to turn around and buy this game.

Already put it in my PS3 news thread, but it's good news that a GOTY contender will be played by 360, PC and PS3 owners.

Word is that visuals will be better, the game will come with the DLC the PC and 360 got and might have some more extras as well.;)

I think it's more about forthcoming exclusives and how they compare to the PS3's, not many have bagged Bioshock.

I guess they have to freshen up a game that most gamers have been playing for 18 months already.

EXTRA EXTRA: PS3 to get Halo 1 in 2009. Although the game is a past gen Bungie does not plan to update graphics or any game play. Is expected to be the biggest release on PS3 so far

WOW, you're turning into LLD, poor form.

Anyway, considering Bioshock 2 won't be coming out until late 2009, it will have given everyone time to play it over and over again.

BTW, it's been out for less than 12 months.

Sometimes when someone is continually ignorant to facts you have to be a bit of a smartass. I know game hasnt been out for 12 months yet but its still not out of PS3, have they even got a release date yet because that if not your looking at probably at least 3 months on the sidelines.

BTW 360 owners have already had 1 round of DLC probably another 1 or 2 packs before the PS3 version comes out. oh and the final twist in the story is.......

The DLC will be in the PS3 version, we won't know a release date until some of the PS magazines tell us, I don't know how long it will take, but they are making it a good port, not a crappy one, so it might take another month or two, which will give me time to smash MGS 4/MGO then move to Bioshock, then back to MGS 4/MGO.

Funny though, how a lot of 360 fanboys claimed it as some awesome exclusive... and yet it's out on three different platforms.

what does that leave the list at now?

Halo... Gears.... ?

Either way, Bioshock sucks - it's a game for Halo fans and people who are easily impressed (often one and the same).

Considering the game is already on Xbox so you can add that one to PS3's list which lives it at........ thats right nothing decent on PS3.

Thats ok that your system doesnt play a decent game though because it plays a mean movie im repeatedly told.

The game lives now does it?

I have both systems, they're both mine.

Make sure you take your phone off the hook and set aside a few hours before you go back to MGS.

Oh, and you won't be going back to MGO. Come on, let's not even pretend.

Why, cutscenes can be paused.:thumbsu:

Meh, I don't mind multi's that make you think, instead of random run and gunning that a 5 year old can beat you in with no skill, at least MGO will give more of a challenge.

while i have known this for quite a long time it's such great news....
this game almost single handedly made me buy a 360 and is a no brainer buy for me

24th October 2008

All-new PLAYSTATION 3 system exclusive content: In addition to the original revolutionary game experience, PLAYSTATION 3 system fans can enjoy a brand new difficulty mode – Survivor – as well as enjoy Trophy support as they explore Rapture. And the experience doesn’t end there – all new exclusive BioShock downloadable content will be available only on the PLAYSTATION 3 system after launch

Am actually considering giving this another play through. I personally think it's a great game.

Will probably get it on PS3 as well depending on what the exclusive DLC is. If it's just a few different plasmids, or different difficulty level, I won't bother, but if it's extra missions, I'll give it a go

Another that I've got into after buying it in the US (for $20). Have played to about what I am going to guess is halfway through by now up to the part:
where you have to clear the place of that toxic gas.

For anyone else, have you noticed a real similarity to Batman: Arkham Asylum? I don't know whether it's mainly the art style (huge use of the purples, greens, blue's), the Unreal 3 Engine, the horror-ish elements, the constant voice overs you'll get, the recordings scattered around the place, the fairly open and relatively un-linear level design, or that there are plenty of puzzles and looking around everywhere to uncover little things, even some of the chick splicers sound like Harley Quinn! But I have found both game's really similar.

But I am enjoying it. It's fairly long too which is a surprise, I was only expecting 4-5 hours maximum, but this is looking like a good 10-15 hours (although I haven't been timing).

Am REALLY over the hacking puzzles now though, they could've at least added something different so it wasn't the same thing over and over and over and over, etc. because it becomes a real grind and you can almost do them with your eyes closed once you get the upgrades to slow them down.

I love how if you get a Little Sister early in a level, the Rosie's/Big Daddies will often come back and sweep the area looking for her in the tube's and stuff. Hearing the screech and then footsteps is also a very eerie feeling.

The atmosphere is absolutely brilliant, again something that I can easily liken to Batman: Arkham Asylum. And the story definitely adds to the atmosphere with Andrew Ryan coming in every so often to cut you off, slow you down, etc. or just hearing the tons of diaries all over the place.

Really enjoying it so far.

Haha, classic LLD :D.

Is this your 1st run through of Bioshock 1?

Definitely (IMO others will disagree) pick up # 2 after you are done

Number 1 does have a better atmosphere, but 2 is a great game also
