I had a bad case of glandular fever when I was in high school so I had to have regular blood tests. They have never bothered me (needles) so I guess I was lucky in that regard.
I agree with what other people have said, its all in the head, it doesnt hurt, just look the other way if the sight of blood gets to you.
I also took the approach of trying to squirt the blood as high as I could, it was the highlight of my day when I had G fever
