I can't believe we worked so hard in the 3rd to throw it all away, I'm extremely disappointed. So many turnovers by our experienced players- It really was a disappointing finish.

Now, I love Sheeds as much as the next Bomber fan,

but who's our next coach?

Not sure what he could've done.

We lacked run and then had Lovett and Nash injured and Stanton just going.

We lack the class across the middle and don't have enough run - Winderlich and Davey injuries.

Players like Dyson and Monfries have consistently let us down this year

yeah winderlick and hird being absent really hurt our run in the midfeild, hird never stops trying and gives absolutely everything and winders just has explosive pace. we need them both back soon... finals are still more then open for us though, sydney will lose tonight so we will still be on even points with sydney who are 8th.. i always thought we needed to win 2 out of collingwood adeliade and hawthorn.. now adelaide imo is a must win, they are vunerable right now, have a few injuries we beat them in round 1 and should beat them next week.. if we lose that then i will be all but giving up on the finals...

well ive been an essendon supporter for 20 years now and dont like bagging them and i wont but its about time we make some tough decisions on certain players.....we need to be more accountable and better at contested footy thats what wins flags.....we score ok but we let in to many goals and a lot of soft ones at that.....our midfield is ok but lacks class......our skills let us down when the pressure is on and that is costly....also this year we give sides tp much of a start cant keep doing that......and i have a query on our fitness hasnt been good since about 2001.....we need to really get smart next year and on so we can get back up where we belong.....im sure we will....

Yeah, he predicted that Bomber would be our next coach, but then he didnt have Geelong in the predictions for next coach. what a dooshbag

I attended the game today, and i didnt think that you guys threw it away in the last. It was a tight affair and our boys just got a few good marks and good goals. I think we may have just outplayed you in the last quarter though your players can hold there heads high as they fought back really well after the 1st half drubbing. What ever coach that fills the whole left by Kevin Sheedy will have a bunch of good players to work with. They must hunt for Mark Harvey though.

I think you're right. We had a great 3rd quarter and I can't question the effort in the last but our 1st half was shocking and where we lost the game.

Bloody poor was right, poor in a lot of areas.

1) How badly our captain is playing. Must be hard for our players up the ground to draw a lot of inspiration from him at the moment.

2) How badly our midfield sucks . Bunch of non running non working pretenders .

3) How bad our skills get .

4) How bad is the coach at leaving players getting pantsed on the same player.

5) How many times we fall over.

6) How bad is it that Stants keeps playing or gets picked every week.

7) How bad our forward structure is.

8) How poorly positioned our forward crumbers are most of the time.

9) How we have so many that simply play dumb footy.

Stuff Gary O'Donnell , he is currenty in charge of the midfield which is one area we suck at the most.
If we are going to change coachs we need a new team that is brining in a different message. Im not going it say it has to be a non Essendon person but if we are going to appoint a former Bomber i want someone who has been away from what we are currently doing for a few years.

He's out of contract at the end of the year and Geelong have not always embraced him with open arms in the past come renewal time. Now he has the upper hand and may want to use it for all it's worth. A lot of Geelong people have bagged his coaching in previous seasons.

After seeing Mark Harvey pull off a great win for Freo i reckon he is certainly a favourite for the dons if Sheeds is kicked.

Sheeds should stay but if he is gone then Ant is right, need someone new who hasn't been party to what has been happening for the last 4-5 years..

Something has to be done with Lloyd, if he is injured dont pick him otherwise make him play 1 position and be accountable there, either CHF or FF.

Can't really blame considering the lack of good experienced midfielders we have.
Who knows what O'Donnell would be able to do when guys like Hislop, Houli, Jetta, Lonergan and Dempsey become regular senior players.

On the matthew lloyd issue. If you remeber last year when leigh matthews was getting frustrated with jonathon brown he played him on ball for a few weeks and brown slaughtered everyone. I believe we should give lloyd a run on ball to get him into the game.
