These fields are nice fields for punters for Saturday.
The reameargence and the match race between the first up Efficient and the boom colt Haradasun.

Miss Finland in a race of her own.

A cracker race in the diamond.

A great race in the St George with future cup horses racing.

A super competative race with Apache Cat, Speilmiester, Sphenophyta, Lucky Unicorn, spinney, watchyaback and bon hoffa.

My Pot of the year in the Oakliegh plate where i have a special already.

The ever consistant Conisten gem and the mares do battle yet again.

THEN IN SYDNEY:

The Sydney 3year old cuperstars of the autumn headline the card in the Hobartville wear churchill downs, court command, the very hyped Mutawajid takes on the Iorn filly Gold Edition and snipers bullet.

Then the main slipper hopes headlined by Husson Lightning, the form of the past 10 years horse in Murtajill, take on Hurried choice, Solo Flyer, superfly and royal esprit as they take battle in the Silver Slipper.

Then an absoloute cracking race in the millie fox with Spinners magic, pasikatera, regal cheer, safwa and gawne take centre stage.

And finally the very exciting Hawkes trained HOYSTAR which will be very short.

A Super Dooper day of Racing on Saturday and can't wait to win alot and alot of $$$$$$$

I'm worried about the Efficient and Haradasun race.

I believe Efficient is the best horse in Australia, but it is coming back from a spell and Haradasun is in good form.
And if Haradasun wins the hype machine will be in full overdrive, every day there will be an article about it in the paper.

God i hope Efficient wins, but i am worried.

Efficent might prefer a longer distance thats probably the only reason i wouldnt back it. Although i need to see the form from last year just before the melbourne cup.
Is there a form guide to have a look at before it comes out the day before in the herald sun?

I think that efficent wont be ready first up. He will need a run or two to get fit for the cabury Gunieas.

The only thing I would doubt is Efficient's fitness base, still a better 1400m horse than the majority of the field, although 1600+ would be his optimum.

Efficent does not have the toe to match strides with Haradasun over 1400, this will simply be a warm up, he will give Haradasun 3 or 4 going into the straight and hit the line but will still get beat by 2. We can only hope that they are matching strides in the straight, if that is the case then you would expect Haradasun to still pull away, Efficent will have to go to the rear and hope for a clear run without any trouble to even the slightest chance.

Back Apache Cat, super run the other week and will be almost at peak fitness, should have to much toe for the others, the Phyta is the interesting once, will be at odds and may suprise first up.

Thoughts on the match race??

I agree, but its still only running against its own age and they are being awfully protective of it. Haven't seen it go inside a horse so far this time in. Sit back, nurse and keep it out of trouble. Thats there right of course, but time to see how Haradasun goes when the going gets tough.

At the moment I like Victory Chant in the Blue Diamond, although it’s a VERY hard race to predict right now.

His run in the Blue Diamond Preludes, considering he bolted out of the gates and overraced and still managed to finish 3rd was quite impressive.

With a new jockey in Childs and a tongue tie added to his gear, I’m hoping that can help put him over the top.
