Sounds good. I'm gonna be at that game and I was hoping the Kreuze would be playing.

Half-forward, or even a pocket or a wing should be about right for him til his body's big enough for the ruck...

Go Kreuzer :thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu:

This is probably a HBF or Gilly question, but how would those who have seen Kreuzer in action compare him to Josh Kennedy in a marking forward role?

Kreuzer, when he played up forward, played mostly out of the goal square, and did a very very good job up there. And it wasn't only his height and weight that were an advantage. The way he uses his body to out-position his opponent was fantastic, and he was also good on the lead, however, he never really ventured too far away from the goals.

A major concern I had with JK was his legspeed, both acceleration and top speed didn't seem to be up to AFL standards in my opinion. Additionaly, his ability to change direction and his effectiveness once the ball hit the ground were also of concern. How does Kreuzer compare to JK in these facets of the game?

I just can't wait for the footy to start and have all these questions running around in my head answered. All these little snippets of information is doing my head in, its got to that stage that i am scanning the internet everyday for info on the blues, i haven't felt like this during the preseason for a long time, finally going in to a season with lots of promise and excitement...

Does anybody else think that throughout his career, Kreuzer may just end up playing as much as a forward as a ruckman?

If Hampson, Aisake or Jacobs can step up, then we may have more freedom to utilise the big mans talent.

I think it's that scenario could occur for either Kreuzer, Hampson, Aisake or Sammy. I think if they all make it big time, then at least one of them, to continue to be in the starting 22 will have to push forward. Time will answer who will be pushed forward, I personally would like to see Mr. Jacobs kick a bag:thumbsu:.

And if he gets towelled up? Do we have our lines/excuses all ready?

No-one could have beaten Lade in that form.
He's just learning FFS.
He "presented" well. Hello JK.
He's just a kid.
He was blocked at every opportunity.
The delivery was poor.
Conditions were against him.
Port roved to his tapouts.
It was windy.
The big crowd upset him.

Suggest we be prepared for anything from gun debut to ......................

Sore eyelashes....

No doubt Kruezer will rotate through CHF, with Hartlett and Edwards also pushing claims. At 200cm with his pace, and ability at ground level, he will be a nightmare for opposition defenders. Kruezer was always going to be a JK replacement, with a heap more mobility and versatility. An extreme talent. With the media attention on Judd, he's managed to avoid some of the media spotlight, which is a good thing. Looking forward to his debut. Also hope Edwards debuts early. He is a high-talent, fast leading forward who could add an extra dimension to our already potent forward setup. :)

I can safely say Sam Jacobs will not make it guys. We can talk up the fact that he's young and he's not the finished article yet, but anyone who's seen him play will tell you he's just too slow to ever play well at AFL level. Right now he's also too slow for VFL level.

It's true he wasn't super quick, but seemed to be out in front on the lead a lot, so not sure if the "top speed" comment is valid.

IMO JK's effectiveness at ground level were unquestionable.
He often got to the bottom of the packs he was in and dished out a handpass or knocked it to advantage.
His second and third efforts around packs was great..........not sure where thess comments came from, clearly not a JK fan.

As for Kreuzer he'd great to play in a "Westhoff" type role, but lets remember that "The Hoff" had been playing predominantly as a forward in the SANFL, so lets not expect too much from MK.:thumbsu:
