Blues possible pick ups

Does anyone know who is training with the blues at the moment, that is not listed to an AFL club?

I personally would love to get brett backwell back to the club. he was very impressive a few years back when we had him. i dont know why we delisted him

backwell was too small for afl footy, maybe a huge year in the gym?

but he was very quick whihc was his main asset. chuck him on a wing/half forward flank and he will give us some good value i reckon

The point is that while Backwell may produce some good football now and again, he will never be a star. He will never go to another club and punish us. The odds may be small but whichever youngster we pick up with the draft pick we use on Backwell could end up being a superstar. We could get another Fisher late or even a James Hird around #79. Spend the pick on an average player and you take the chance of something greater out of the equation.

Don't do it Carlton. Think outside the box and pick a project player while we still have a coach like Pagan to develop them.
