When my son was very young, I was having a chat with a mate of mine who also had a son of similar age. We were just chatting about our kids as proud fathers do. He casually asked me “how would you feel if your son grew up to be a serial killer, or a Nazi sympathiser, or something crazy like that?”
I said I’d love my son unconditionally, no matter what! UNLESS he barracked for Richmond, in which case I would’ve failed as a father and I would put him up for adoption.
