FWIW I don’t want him outside of basically a third rounder ,a rewriting of a few notable clauses into his contract ,and still only then after a number of interviews with our football leaders both on and off field , followed up with their blessing

Now if your still unsure why I think a player that so happens to fill easily our biggest and now only real weakness almost perfectly ,is a west Aussie boy to boot ,I suggest you do a little investigative research on Ian’s extra curricular activities these last 12 mths

There is clearly a bit more to it and a lot of risk wither Freo or WC IF he had to come back to be with his kids. I frame it has "has to come back" because it sounds like if he did ask for a trade, he wouldn't actually want to leave the Pies.

No way a third rounder does it.
He was ready to play again, his conditioning let him down.
The reason he won’t go cheap is because he made a huge mistake, suffered for it, went through the guilt process and is now on the mend.
If you propose to put him through all that crap and judge him again I’m sure he would pick WC as his destination.

Got himself right towards the end, takes time to reconcile with oneself.
He didn’t break any law or use drugs.

Wasn’t as bad a the finger injury guy down the highway, that’s stuff that should immediately end careers

From what i understand the pies were made aware of his and in terms of why he didn’t play it wasn’t to do with his family issues as such but something else which I won’t mention again as it was deleted.

It's probably be no different to an 8 week injury. He wasn't selected because he wasn't match fit. The bottom line is that none of us know what happened and all of this is just speculation.

There is always bullshit speculation. That's the first I've heard about "partying hard" whatever that means. The speculation I heard was his partner left with the kids back to WA. That bit about falling off the wagon is also just speculation.
