I can't decide between these two either.
Bock appeals because only 1 other person in my league has him.
McPhee appeals because he's a safer bet.
I reckon I'll play it safe, but don't really know yet.

I had bock from round 1 and had the choice between Johncock and mcphee for the last spot, I went with Johncock
Traded for mcphee this week
Bock is getting a heap of the ball (and was at the end of last year too) so hopefully he can stay fit and keep it up.

yeh mcfees scored 112 and 94 and bocks scored somthing like 116 and 87 so maybe you would tilt toward mcfee because he is slightly more consistant however he is an extra 70 000 or so so its a tough decision. I agree with you, mcfee is probably the safer pick

There isn't the same price difference in SC, which makes it a harder choice.
Its very tempting to take Bock and have another point of difference against my league rivals...

i wouldnt have a clue, i didnt see the game. still managed to score 87 in the loss to essendon. Essendon obviously have an awsome defence with michael,fletcher and mcfee. Personally im starting to think you cant go wrong. Either way you will probably be fairly safe. Im leaning toward bock, simply because it will free me up some cash to upgrade foley next week if he doesnt perform this week against collingwood.

In all seriousness i find it so hard to support players from my dreamteam when they play Essendon. It's just too difficult to go against my dons unless where already flogging that team.
I have both.
I think McPhee will be much more consistent, and definately much more of a sure thing.
Bock still comes with a certain amount of risk, whereas McPhee has shown in past years that he can be a defender to rely on.
But Bock is substantially, and in the long run I think both are valuable additions to any side.
